The same week he was fired, he saw an ad on Craigslist for a solar energy company and sent in an application to schedule an interview. During the interview, he heard someone mention they could earn over $20,000 in a month, which immediately made him suspicious of a "scam," but he still went through with the interview. He was hired and started his training right away. He was excited not only because he had already fallen in love with commission-based pay, but because the concept of solar energy and its environmental benefits made him feel like he would truly be making a difference in the world.
His initial outcome in the solar industry
Erick's journey in the solar industry began with notable success, as he quickly stood out, surpassing sales targets and qualifying for a managerial position within three months, despite his initial lack of experience. However, despite his team's substantial contributions to office productivity, he was denied the promotion he sought, leading him to explore opportunities elsewhere. Upon moving to a new company, Erick faced significant challenges as the organization failed to deliver on promises, resulting in a setback despite his team's considerable efforts. However, this adversity served as valuable learning experience, instilling in him qualities of perseverance, patience, and determination. Throughout subsequent career changes, Erick remained steadfast in his commitment to the solar industry.
What are the current and future companies?
In May 2018, he decided to start his own business selling solar energy because he experienced issues he wanted to change both for himself and other solar professionals. Erick believes in partnerships and treats all his sales representatives as such. His company now operates in Texas, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, and California, with numerous other locations in progress.
